Qualification (summary)
- Senior Officer (Mechanical): 4-year bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 65% marks.
- Senior Officer (Petroleum): 2-year master’s in Petroleum Engineering/Technology (60%) with engineering at graduation level.
- Senior Accounts Officer: Associate Member of ICAI or ICMAI.
- Superintending Research Scientist: PhD in Chemistry/Geology/Chemical/Petroleum Engineering with the related master’s degree (60%), plus 4 years’ experience.
- Hindi Officer: Post graduate in Hindi plus 3 years’ experience.
- Confidential Secretary: Graduate with a diploma in Secretarial Practice / Office Management, computer knowledge and 2 years’ experience.
Upper Age Limit (as on 14 November 2026, UR)
Mechanical – 27 years; Petroleum, Accounts and Hindi Officer – 29 years; Research Scientist and Confidential Secretary – 37 years. Relaxation: 3 years for OBC (NCL), 5 years for SC/ST, 5 years for ex-servicemen; PwBD as per government rules.
Application Fee
General / OBC (NCL): ₹500 + taxes. SC, ST, PwBD, EWS and ex-servicemen: no fee. Payment through SBI e-Pay Lite.
Selection Process
- Grade A and B (Table I and II): CBT (100 marks, 85% weightage) + Personal Interview (15 marks).
- Hindi Officer and Confidential Secretary: CBT (basis of merit) + qualifying Proficiency / Skill Test.
The CBT is 1 hour 30 minutes long.
